CTM magnetic centrifugal pumps for chemically corrosive and toxic liquids at temperatures up to 90 °C. Their design allows for pumping aggressive and toxic liquids. Due to their compact size, they can operate in confined spaces for OEM machinery. Power to the impeller is transmitted via a magnetic coupling even at high temperatures and with high-viscosity liquids.

They are characterized by a robust shaftless design, a small number of components, and high chemical resistance. An insulating shroud, located between the drive magnets and the impeller magnets, separates the drive from the wet end of the pump. Available in PP or PVDF.

CTM magnetic centrifugal pumps are designed for transferring and circulating media in the chemical, electroplating, food, and water treatment industries.

Technical data
Pump capacity: 28 m3/h (466 l/min)
Max. discharge pressure: 6 bar
Temperature: 90 °C
Viscosity: 200 mPa·s
Casing material: PP (GF 30 %) or PVDF
Impeller material: PP or PVDF
O-rings: EPDM, FKM, FEP/FKM, FFKM
Electric motor: IEC standard, 3-phase, 2-/4-pole, IP55
Main differences in material versions:
PP PP (polypropylene) is resistant to most chemical media up to 70 °C. It is an ideal solution for pickling baths or surface degreasing.
PVDF PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) has excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance. It is an excellent solution for hot liquids up to 90 °C, e.g., for hot hydrofluoric acid.

Key benefits
Tapflo CTM centrifugal pump design 1. Robust shaftless design
The impeller magnet assembly is designed with extra strong bushings, where the conventional shaft, susceptible to breakage, is not needed.
This makes the pump have fewer parts and be more reliable in operation.
2. Strong magnetic coupling
NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron) magnets with a unique magnetic cage system feature the highest strength even in harsh conditions. Power from the drive is transmitted even at high temperatures and with high specific gravity liquids. In addition, the robust steel outer magnet frame increases its power and ensures smooth pump start-up.
3. Non-metallic construction
The wetted parts are injection-molded, non-metallic thermoplastics, providing excellent corrosion resistance.
The PP-GF version provides high mechanical strength and allows for the transfer of liquids at temperatures up to 70°C.
The PVDF version features excellent chemical resistance and allows pumping at temperatures up to 90°C.
Operation principle

Power from the motor is transferred to the impeller using a magnetic coupling. An isolation shell separates the space between the outer magnet driven by the motor and the inner magnet driving the impeller.

IMPELLER AND INNER MAGNET ASSEMBLY – Driven by the outer magnet assembly

DRIVE MAGNET ASSEMBLY – Connected to the motor

ISOLATION SHELL – (Back shroud) separates the wet side (pumped liquid) from the dry side (atmosphere)

Patented magnet housing design

The magnets are enclosed using a unique system that avoids the use of resins and glue.
This ensures a secure system with better performance at high temperatures. In addition, the impeller is injection molded, ensuring excellent performance and no weak points.
The CTM20-7 has a semi-open impeller, while the CTM25-8, CTM25-10, CTM32-12.5, CTM40-12.5 and CTM50-12.5 models have closed impellers for the best pumping parameters.
