The gear pumps in our range are characterised by the absence of leakage due to thermal expansion - they are equipped with a robust seal and a pinion with a cover.
High operating efficiency - even pumping with low pulsations, low energy consumption, high hydraulic efficiency levels and the possibility of precise capacity regulation - these are the features that characterise the pumps available from Tapflo and that should be taken into account when choosing the right equipment.
Equipment with a modular design - we have pumps offered in many variants and options, allowing them to be perfectly adapted to the specific application. In addition, we offer a seal to match the medium, the possibility of horizontal or vertical installation, a bypass valve for the gear pump in case of the need to change the direction of rotation or pressure, and much more..
Well-thought-out design and simplified maintenance - we offer pumps with a simplified design without seals or with disassembly and access to the pump from both the front and rear. The simple design means shorter service downtime, and the right accessories allow the pump to be maintained without disassembly from the installation (e.g. in gear pumps, the shaft seal and bearing bracket can be removed for easy inspection, repair and replacement of the shaft seal).
ATEX compliance for explosion zones - production in the bitumen industry carries the risk of explosion due to the use of flammable substances. At Tapflo we offer ATEX certified pumps and other equipment for use in explosive atmospheres, ensuring the highest level of safety.

Media pumping in asphalt spreaders
The right pumps increase the efficiency of the process during which the asphalt is applied, allowing roadworks to be carried out more quickly. Tapflo pumps are resistant to high temperatures and abrasion, making them ideal for this application. They also offer high performance even when pumping viscous media with high temperatures and high abrasion. An optional heating jacket enables the pumps to be brought to the correct temperature before they start operating. The use of a bypass valve protects the pump and the system by limiting the pressure differential between the suction and discharge side - the reduced pressure helps protect the pump components.
Bitumen pumping in secondary applications for roofing, formwork, foundation waterproofing
Tapflo gear pumps can pump bitumen of different viscosities and high temperatures - up to 300 C. Whether it is pure bitumen, bitumen with elastomer additives or heavy bitumen - the gear pump series and other bitumen pumps are designed to pump it.
