Hygienic butterfly valves
Cipriani Harrison hygienic flap valves are designed for process piping systems for the isolation and control of media. The Tapflo flap valve is ideal for applications requiring high flow and low pressure, making it suitable for controlling liquids containing solid particles. Its simple design allows for smooth flow shut-off, giving the operator precise control over the movement of the liquid.
These valves can be operated manually or automatically and can also be used in vacuum systems. Made of AISI 316L stainless steel, they feature high corrosion resistance and the highest standard of hygiene. Available with a wide range of connections: threaded, welded or clamps.
Typical applications: pharmaceutical, food, dairy, wine, beer, beverage, cosmetics, chemical industries, etc.

The hygienic flap valve opens and closes by rotating the disc 90°. A wide range of handles allows the valve disc to be set in various positions to regulate the flow rate. The flow of medium through the valve is smooth, without any branching of the flow direction.
Tapflo hygienic butterfly valves are available with a wide range of hand levers and pneumatic actuators. The appropriate lever can be selected depending on the end application, for simple opening and closing or for manual control in multiple positions or for precise control. Various types of pneumatic actuators are available for different media and pressures.
In the standard ‘NZ’ (normally closed) version, the pneumatic actuator opens the valve using compressed air. The valve is closed by spring force to a fixed closed position.

The Tapflo flap valve is available with a stainless steel manual handle in a welded connection version with a silicone seal in the standard configuration.

Cipriani Harrison butterfly valves are available with a maintenance-free pneumatic actuator. A wide range of actuators is available with horizontal or vertical mounting, a safety spring return actuator or a double-acting pneumatic actuator.

The mixproof flap valve is used for the safe separation of two incompatible media. The sanitary mixproof valve is equipped with two poppets that separate the incompatible media by means of two separate seals. It has a separate relief chamber with a spring-loaded valve. When the valve is closed, i.e. the two media are separated, the relief valve remains open by means of a link. In the event of a leak, the medium escapes from the relief chamber. When the valve is opened and the two media are allowed to mix or flow to the opposite connection, the relief chamber valve remains closed.
The hygienic mixproof flap valve is available with various end connections, in different standards, and can be operated manually or pneumatically.

The three-way flap valve is ideal for changing the direction of flow. Sanitary three-way flap valves can be operated individually and independently or via a mechanical interlocking system. In the mechanical system, two or all three valves can be operated using a single lever or pneumatic actuator.

The Tapflo hygienic bottom valve is ideal for installation at the bottom of a tank or at the tank outlet.
It features a bottom tank flange with a self-draining radius that prevents product from remaining in the flange. Sanitary flap bottom valves are available in various sizes, standards and operating modes.

Cipriani Harrison sanitary flap valves are manufactured using a forging process.

Cipriani Harrison hygienic butterfly valves are available with various handle options, depending on customer needs and application requirements.
