Junior Sales Representative

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Junior Sales Representative to join our KZN-based team. This full-time, flexible role offers a remuneration package reflective of suitability and experience. Candidates must reside in the KZN region and preferably have experience calling on and travelling within different industrial areas.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Actively negotiate and influence new and existing business prospects
  • Develop and maintain Customer Relationship Management database
  • Identify appropriate products and services for new and existing clients
  • Build and extend relationships, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Provide technical assistance in quoting, tendering, internal sales, and project management
  • Assist with budget preparation and sales-related activities
  • Support service scheduling and job costing
  • Strive to exceed group sales targets and maximize profitability

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit
  • Must reside in the KZN region
  • Valid RSA driver’s license (essential)
  • Own a reliable vehicle to conduct business daily
  • Proven history in industrial sales
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of CRM systems and ability to use as a daily tool
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications 

  • General knowledge of pumps and industrial designs
  • Experience calling on industrial areas within the Johannesburg region
  • Knowledge of interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Aptitude to learn specific computer programs
