About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our Gauteng-based team. This full-time, flexible role offers a competitive remuneration package including commission structure, reflective of suitability and experience. Candidates must reside in the Gauteng (JHB) region and have a proven track record in industrial sales with experience calling on and managing key accounts within different industrial areas. Reporting to the National Sales Manager on important regional developments and keeping him fully informed at all times.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive new business development and strategically grow existing accounts
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value sales opportunities
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
  • Manage and optimize Customer Relationship Management database
  • Provide expert technical consultation on products and services for complex client requirements
  • Build and maintain strong C-level and senior management relationships
  • Lead quoting, tendering, and project management for major accounts
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic business plans
  • Manage service scheduling, job costing, and profitability analysis
  • Represent Tapflo at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
  • Drive market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit
  • Must reside in the Gauteng region
  • Valid RSA driver’s license (essential)
  • Own a reliable vehicle to conduct business daily
  • Minimum 5+ years proven success in industrial B2B sales
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of pumps and/or industrial process equipment
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Advanced communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient in CRM systems with proven ability to manage complex sales pipelines
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Gauteng and nationally as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualification in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Established network within Gauteng industrial sectors (mining, water, chemical, food & beverage, manufacturing)
  • Experience with major project sales and tender processes
  • Knowledge of interpreting technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings
  • Experience managing distributor or channel partner relationships
