The SR (B and BR) series diaphragm dosing pumps are spring return hydraulic pumps designed for water treatment and industrial applications. They are reliable and easy to maintain, with the option of a flushing or leak recovery system.
SR (B/BR) pumps with a mechanical diaphragm and hydraulic head are designed for pumping liquids with a low solid content in applications requiring high pressure. These pumps are ideal for applications where:
Pumps in this series have adjustable stroke both during pump operation and during downtime. Stroke adjustment can be performed manually or automatically using an automatic actuator driven by 4-20 mA; various BUS; or pneumatically.
The SR(B) and SR(BR) series diaphragm metering pumps are available in 3 sizes with different piston stroke lengths. For these three types, different diaphragm sizes are available, adapted to different applications in terms of capacity and pressure. The BR version is also equipped with a built-in safety valve installed in the hydraulic circuit to protect the diaphragm from excessive pressure. The SR(B) and SR(BR) series pumps are available in a standard version and a high-pressure ‘HP’ version.

Dosing pumps are positive displacement piston pumps with controlled volume. The reciprocating motion provides a sinusoidal flow rate, therefore the flow of the pumped product is not continuous, but pulsating. The flow rate or volume of the pump is controlled by changing the stroke of the piston/diaphragm. The reciprocating motion of the piston/diaphragm of the dosing pump determines the flow thanks to directional valves located at the inlet and outlet of the pump head. The liquid is pumped in the following phases:
Sucking phase
During the suction phase, the valve at the outlet closes (sealing the leak), and the valve at the suction opens. Fluid enters the pump head chamber. The theoretical volume is equal to the piston displacement.
Stamping phase
During the compression phase, the suction-side valve closes and the discharge-side valve opens. The liquid leaves the pump head and flows into the pipe.

Each SR series pump (B and BR) is equipped with a reduction gear with a vertically mounted motor as standard. The reduction gear is equipped with a worm and worm wheel, supported by a bearing system immersed in an oil bath. The stroke length adjustment mechanism is a positive return stroke spring, which is operated by an eccentric cam. |
| 1. Pump housing | Cast aluminum. |
| 2. Hydraulic pump head | Draws liquid from the inlet valve and pushes it through the discharge valve by means of a diaphragm made of PTFE/NBR. Various multi-head units are available on request. Each pumping element has independent adjustment during operation or standstill. |
| 3. Adjustment | Plunger stroke from 0% to 100% is achieved by turning the knob on the screw, which partially regulates the slider return, both with the pump stationary and in motion. Automatic adjustment is possible. |
| 4. Gear unit and transmission | Reduces the motor speed to the number required for dosing, converting the rotary motion into reciprocating linear motion by means of an eccentric shaft, with a slider and return spring. The gearbox has a flexible coupling. |
| 5. Electric motor | Three-phase or single-phase (CVE – Ex – Gr. B14 – Cl. F- 50/60 Hz- IP 55 or higher). |
| Hydraulic elements | Plastic or metal depending on product compatibility. |

Accessories for Doseuro dosing pumps include safety valves, overflow valves and check valves to protect the system from overload, pulsation dampers to reduce pressure fluctuations, polyethylene tanks for pump installation and calibration columns for precise measurement of pump performance.
Below you will find a detailed description of each accessory:

Safety valves
A safety valve is installed on the pump’s discharge pipe and is connected to a bypass pipe as a safety device, so that it opens (relieves) upon reaching a limit value to protect the installation and the pump from overpressure.

Relief and Check Valves
A check valve is installed on the pump discharge line to counteract existing suction pressure to avoid siphoning. The use of this valve allows flow regulation in cases where the discharge pressure is low or non-existent.
A relief valve is installed on the pump discharge pipe and is connected to a bypass pipe as a safety device, so that it opens (relieves) upon reaching a limit value to protect the system and the pump from overpressure.

Pulsation Dampeners – type HSTX
316 stainless steel body, consisting of two parts connected by a special closure, which under the influence of dynamic pressure tends to self-close. Design complies with ASME VIII° Div. 1 regulations.

Pulsation dampeners – type HSTPVC
PVC body, consisting of two parts connected by a special hose, which under the influence of dynamic pressure tends to self-close: + 50 °C. Membranes are compatible with the process liquid.

Polyethylene tanks
Suitable for mounting with a dosing pump on top.

Calibration Columns
A calibration column is installed on the suction line of the metering pump. It consists of a graduated cylinder. Its function is to determine the pump flow rate, by checking the volume of liquid drawn in over a given time, under actual operating conditions.
