The client operates in the beverage industry, specialising in the production and processing of liquid food products. The company’s environment demands equipment that allows for easy integration into existing process lines.
As a food-sector manufacturer, the customer places strong emphasis on product quality and sanitary safety.
CLIENT’S PROBLEM AND CHALLENGES
The project concerned the supply of a hygienic pumping solution for beverage applications, where the process requires reliable handling of liquid media under strict sanitary conditions.
The customer requested a “Plug and Play” solution ready for immediate operation with integrated control and minimal installation requirements. This was driven by the need to ensure rapid deployment within the production line and avoiding interruptions to ongoing operations.
Key project requirements included:
sanitary design
easiness of use
mobility and compactness
simplicity of control
A further challenge was the need for precise flow control depending on process conditions, as well as ensuring cleanability and minimisation of product residues in the system. The equipment also had to support flexible operation across multiple production points within the facility.
TAPFLO ACTIVITIES
In response to the client’s needs, a Tapflo solution was configured as a complete mobile pumping unit designed for immediate use.
A centrifugal hygienic pump mounted on an M-size trolley was selected and equipped with a frequency inverter, allowing precise flow control depending on process requirements, designed for hygienic applications in the beverage industry. This ensured full control over the pumping process while maintaining stable and efficient operation.
The solution was designed as a fully integrated “Plug and Play” unit, reducing installation time and allowing immediate deployment in production. The mobility of the unit facilitates flexible use across different process locations.
The CTH D pump itself is supplied with a reduced surface roughness to minimize product residues providing high surface quality suitable for hygienic applications, in this case beverage industry, where clean- and drain-ability are crucial.

RESULT
A Tapflo centrifugal hygienic pump mounted on an M-size mobile trolley with integrated frequency inverter was implemented as the final solution.
The system fully met the client’s expectations for a ready-to-use, plug and play unit with high mobility. The use of frequency control enabled precise adjustment of flow rates depending on process needs, improving overall production flexibility.
