Pumps and equipment for the galvanic industry

The electroplating industry plays a crucial role in the production of various metal components that are essential in many industries, such as automotive, electronics, construction, home furnishings, and even the production of tourist equipment. In electroplating processes, it is essential to use equipment designed to operate in aggressive environments – with chemicals, acids, or bases. We know how important proper and effective cleaning and circulation of liquids are in the case of processes taking place on electroplating lines.

Our offer includes electroplating pumps, valves, filters and agitators, the design and reliability of which allows you to obtain the highest quality metal coatings. We offer devices used in industries such as: metallurgy, electroplating and painting.

    Tapflo Solutions devices

We understand that every company has unique needs, which is why we offer personalized solutions tailored to specific requirements. Our team of motorers is always ready to advise and help you choose the best solution.

Tapflo Solutions is a department created in response to the demanding and unusual needs of the market, going beyond the scope of our standard offer. We specialize in designing unconventional solutions that meet the most difficult customer requirements.

Devices created by SolutionsTM are comprehensive solutions that increase comfort and safety at work, such as stationary and mobile systems for unloading media from tanks, drums or IBC containers, agitators and mixing stations or systems for the production of SLES.

We also add functional modifications to standard devices from the Tapflo portfolio, for example by increasing their mobility, adjusting dimensions or introducing advanced safety and control systems.

We also offer a wide range of products designed to protect Tapflo equipment from damage or weather conditions – such as thermal or acoustic covers.

    Why choose Tapflo products?

    • high chemical resistance – we offer electroplating pumps made of polyethylene (PE HD), pure polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, a.k.a. Teflon), PVDF, ETFE, PFA, or other materials that feature high chemical resistance. This allows them to pump very aggressive chemical agents, such as concentrated acids and bases. We also have pump models for special applications, made of acid-resistant steel or electropolished steel – perfectly protected against corrosion.
    • pumps with a sealless design – no mechanical seal and complete hermeticity – essential for hazardous, aggressive, or valuable media used in electroplating processes.
    • construction designed for the electroplating industry – we offer electroplating pumps with a simplified design, which reduces the risk of failure and also simplifies potential maintenance work. An excellent example is our CTV vertical pumps, which can be mounted in electroplating baths.
    • high filtration accuracy – our electroplating filters for electroplating baths are designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions. Their robust design ensures a safe and reliable daily working environment, with both acids and alkalis. At Tapflo, we provide reliable solutions that enhance both the quality and safety of the surface treatment process.
    • easy equipment cleaning – Tapflo pumps allow for cleaning or sterilization without dismantling the unit from the installation. This is known as cleaning in CIP or SIP processes, which significantly speeds up maintenance and allows the electroplating lines to be returned to operation as quickly as possible.
    • unloading of chemical barrels – fast unloading of up to 4 barrels simultaneously, capability to transfer NLGI class 3 lithium-based greases, inks, paints, resins, coatings, sealants, and others.

Maximizing Pump Reliability with Original Spare Parts

Proper maintenance of pumps is critical to ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operation in any industry. Using only original Tapflo spare parts guarantees that every component meets strict quality standards, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of your equipment.

In demanding environments, including chemical processing and ATEX zones, genuine parts help prevent unexpected breakdowns, minimize costly downtime, and maintain the safety and efficiency of your operations.

Investing in original Tapflo components provides businesses with peace of mind, enabling continuous production and long-term reliability for all pumping systems.

Possible applications of Tapflo pumps and industrial equipment

    Circulation of galvanic solutions

Electroplating requires the continuous circulation of electrolytes, which is essential for maintaining a uniform concentration of chemicals throughout the plating tank. This, in turn, ensures an even application of the metal coating onto the processed components. Tapflo offers, among other products, diaphragm pumps, whose design allows for pumping acids, solvents, anode sludges, lacquers, or enamels. We also recommend CTM magnetic drive centrifugal pumps, which in surface treatment can pump acids and alkalis, chemical reagents, slurries, oils, greases, as well as coolants or detergents. The special design of CTV vertical pumps allows them to pump chemicals for creating chrome-nickel coatings.

    Liquid filtration

Pumps are used to transfer solutions through filters that remove contaminants and sediment. The purity of the solution is crucial for achieving high-quality electroplated coatings – whether it's chrome plating, zinc plating, copper plating, cadmium plating, oxidizing, nickel plating, phosphating, or anodizing. Tapflo electroplating filters are designed to maintain the purity of plating baths by removing contaminants, sediment, and solid particles. The use of high-efficiency filters ensures the high quality of the final electroplated product and extends the lifespan of the plating baths.

Filling and emptying a tank or electroplating bath

Tapflo chemical-resistant pumps enable fast and efficient filling and emptying of electroplating tanks, which is essential when changing solutions or cleaning the tanks. They allow for the transfer of chemicals from tanks, containers, and baths, e.g., during pickling, electroplating, and degreasing. Our pumps are also used for pumping waste from completed processes.

    Temperature control

In many installations, pumps are part of cooling or heating systems for galvanic solutions. Such circulation of the cooling or heating liquid allows the proper temperature of the entire process to be maintained. In such cases, Tapflo valves can also be used - for example, in installations where the temperature of galvanic solutions must be kept within a specific range. Our valves can regulate the fluid flow and maintain appropriate thermal conditions.

    Regulation of galvanic solution flow

Tapflo valves enable precise control of the flow of electrolytes and other chemicals in installations for electroplating processes. Tapflo industrial valves can be used to regulate the flow of the medium, to shut off and open the flow of liquids or gases at specific moments in the process. For example, they can be used to cut off the chemical supply during maintenance or system failure.

    Mixing control and process safety

In processes used in the electroplating industry, the proper mixing of chemicals is essential. Equipment for the electroplating industry can precisely regulate the amount of each substance added to the mixture. Safety valves are key to preventing uncontrolled leaks and system overloads, for example, by automatically shutting off the flow when excessive pressure is detected. Dosing pumps are used for the precise and repeatable dosing of mixtures. The safety of all processes also depends on the right materials of construction for our equipment – we offer machines made of AISI 316L stainless steel, aluminum, plastic (PP, PE, PVDF or PTFE), or in special versions available as an option.
