1. Installation flexibility Connections can rotate 180°. Simply rotate the connection to adjust its position to the installation. Plastic connections with BSP or NPT internal threads are supplied as standard. Other versions, including stainless steel, are available on request. |
| 2. Massive and durable body The pump body is machined from a solid block of PE or PTFE. The massive construction protects against mechanical loads as well as aggressive chemicals. |
|
| 3. Low air consumption The air supply system has been designed to minimize all air channels. This allowed the elimination of all “dead spaces”, and consequently achieve maximum pump efficiency. |
|
| 4. Design created for chemicals The multi-layer diaphragm has a completely uniform surface (without metal elements) on the medium side. This is an ideal solution for transporting chemicals. |
The Tapflo diaphragm pump is powered by compressed air. Two diaphragms work alternately, pushing liquid into the pumping system. Ball valves act as check valves, directing the liquid in the right direction.
During each cycle, the air pressure behind the discharge diaphragm is equal to the liquid lift height on the medium side. This means that Tapflo diaphragm pumps can operate with a closed discharge valve without negatively impacting the diaphragm’s lifespan.
SUCTION
The retracting diaphragm creates a vacuum, and thus the phenomenon of medium suction.
DISCHARGE
The second diaphragm simultaneously transfers air pressure to the medium in the second diaphragm chamber, pushing it towards the discharge port.
| Long-life diaphragms
Tapflo diaphragms are composite constructions, ideal for working in harsh conditions, providing a completely uniform surface in contact with the medium. This avoids leaks through the diaphragm and keeps it clean. Diaphragms are available in various materials and colors to suit all needs. Available material versions: EPDM, NBR, FKM, PTFE, PTFE TFM 1705b, white EPDM, PTFE with white EPDM backing, white NBR.
The advanced manufacturing, curing, trimming and finishing process ensures a long service life of the composite diaphragm, which will last for many millions of strokes. The component materials are specially made and adapted to the composite diaphragm technology and the insert molding process. |

Economical power supply – air distributors
The air distributor, which redirects compressed air to the chambers behind the diaphragms, is the heart of the pump. The distributor is located in the center of the pump between the diaphragms to minimize air path and dead spots. This design is the key to reliable and economical operation. Thanks to a special sealing system, the distributor does not require lubrication. This not only saves money, but also protects the environment. Available material versions: brass, PET and AISI 316L stainless steel |
| Ball check valves
Tapflo pumps are equipped with four check valves to ensure that the liquid is pumped in the right direction. Available material versions: EPDM, NBR, PTFE, PTFE TFM 1635, PE1000, FKM, PU, Ceramic, SiC, AISI 316L. |

| Smart Energy-Saving Pumps | TC Series
The intelligent TC series pumps are a modification of standard diaphragm pumps by equipping them with LEAP technology introduced by Tapflo. LEAP® or “Low Energy Air Pump” is a patented technology used in air-operated diaphragm pumps to reduce the minimum operating air pressure by reducing internal losses and friction compared to standard pumps. LEAP uses an intermediate system that detects the position of the diaphragm shaft, automatically controlling the movement of the diaphragm. A pump with LEAP® technology can start pumping at a pressure of 0.3 bar without blocking – in the test, the pump achieved 70% of its maximum capacity before other pumps even started. This means energy savings of up to 70%. Features and Benefits:

| Installation designed with positive pressure on the suction side. This is the best solution when it is necessary to completely empty the tank or when pumping high-density media. | The design of Tapflo diaphragm pumps allows them to operate with high vacuum. It is possible to start the pump with vacuum on the suction side and this does not cause any damage to the device. Suction lift is up to 5 meters from an empty pipeline and up to 8 meters from a wet pipeline. The suction capacity depends on the pump size. | All Tapflo diaphragm pumps can be installed as submersible. It is important to check the chemical resistance of all elements that will be in contact with the medium. A condition for pump operation is to discharge the air outlet from the pump above the liquid level using a suitable hose. |
