Overview
The Tapflo air operated diaphragm pump sanitary series is particularly designed to meet the requirements of the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Lubrication free air distribution system, maintenance free ball check valve system and total visual inspection of the wetted parts are some of the major features for this pump series.
Made to be clean
Our design allows for total visual inspection of the wetted parts. There are no hidden areas where bacteria can grow. The manifold clamps and the housing screws are simply removed for complete disassembly and cleaning. The pump is also designed for cleaning and sterilization in place – C.I.P. and S.I.P. After such operations, the pump is easily turned in its support for drainage.
ATEX certified pumps
All sanitary pumps are available in explosion proof ATEX marked version. They are supplied with earth connection and conductive materials; conductive centre section and diaphragms in PTFE (conductive back) or EPDM (conductive).

1 Quick dismantling
The clamp system ensures rapid dismantling without any tools.
2. Plain surface
The sandwich diaphragm has a completely plain surface, which eliminates bacteria growth problems. The diaphragm is available in food grade materials – PTFE or white EPDM.
3. Superior finish
Both liquid side and outside is electropolished, to obtain superior finish and hygiene. Special surface finish may be done accordning to your requirements.
4. Pollution free air valve
The sealing system is lubrication free, always keeping your product and environment free from oil contamination.
Drain the pump by turning the pump in its support (T80–T425)

* = The value is based on pumps with PTFE diaphragms (other materials - please contact Tapflo). It should be remembered that the volume per stroke may vary depending on the pump’s operating parameters.
** = This is max value with stainless steel valve balls, other valve ball materials may reduce the suction. Please consult us.
*** = Flap valve version. Theoretical max solid size, the actual size may vary depending on the shape. For more information contact us
Certificates
USP VI approved materials (OPTION)
U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) class I to VI defines how a plastic or rubber material may be exposed of human tissue. Class VI requires the most stringent testing and such materials may be used for example in implant devices.
FDA §21 CFR 177 materials
FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) §21 CFR 177 lists polymers, e.g. rubber and plastic materials approved for equipment in contact with food products.
EN 10204 material traceability
The EN 10204 norm gives you a checklist and traceability of materials used in the equipment. 2.1 is a general statement of compliance with material specifications, while 3.1 provides specific track records all the way to the steel mill batch (normally only on metals in contact with the product).
EC 1935/2004 regulation
This EU regulation applies to all food contact materials, e.g. metals, plastics and rubber materials. It requires that these materials are safe, are labeled with the glass-and-fork symbol, are traceable throughout the production chain (according to above EN 10204) and that they are produced according to good manufacturing practice (GMP).
CE conformance
A product classified as machinery that carries the CE mark fulfill the essential health and safety requirements of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EEC.
ATEX Directive 94/9/EC
Equipment intended and approved for safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. The equipment is divided in main groups, categories, apparatus groups and temperature classes to define its suitability in the actual zone.
